Our current officer board has been in place for over a year now, but in the hopes of generating increased interest and involvement, starting this June, the alumni association will begin to hold new nominations. This is the perfect opportunity for those interested in becoming involved on a greater level as the group continues to evolve. The positions in place are as follows:

President: Oversees day-to-day functions of group. Runs officer meetings. Serves as liaison to the General Fraternity. Records and disseminates officer minutes.

VP, Membership/Finances: Serves as treasurer to the association, helps to solicit and manage donations and expenditures.

VP, Membership/Communications: Coordinates communications and recruitment efforts through a variety of outlets and resources. Serves as liaison to the local chapters.

VP, Events: Sets up and coordinates social events of various themes on a regular basis.

VP, Philanthropy: Oversees association-sponsored philanthropic and community services endeavors, including the annual North American Food Drive.

Webmaster: Oversees and updates official association website

Newsletter Publisher: Helps design and distribute - or oversee the design and distribution of- official association newsletter, both hard copy and electronic (frequency to be determined)

The most immediate need is that of social/events chair, as the position currently remains open.

A note to the current officers and others: New nominations/elections is by no mean a reflection of the job which the current board has done. In fact, quite the contrary. The current people in charge have helped to take this group to the next level and solidify our standing for years to come. Therefore, it is certainly encouraged that if any current board member wishes to remain in his position, that he can nominate himself once more.
